Ceiling consisting of wood lath and horsehair plaster applied over ceiling joists with a decorative texture applied to the surface. Horsehair plaster is typically found in homes built before 1930, but seldom in more recently built ones. It is actually regular plaster with a fiber added to it for additional strength.
Primer coat plus two finish coats of paint.
